Overview
PitchStill is a note training app for musicians. This policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
Data We Collect
Microphone / audio
PitchStill accesses the microphone only during active training sessions so the app can detect the pitch you play or sing. Audio is processed in real time on your device. PitchStill does not record, store, or transmit audio.
Account data
If you create an account through Google Sign-In or email, PitchStill stores your email address and a unique user ID so cloud sync and authentication can work.
Training data
Session history, scores, and progress statistics are stored locally on your device. If you are signed in, this data may also sync to the cloud so it can be restored across devices.
Purchase status
PitchStill uses RevenueCat to verify premium entitlement status. Payment details are handled by Apple or Google, not by PitchStill directly.
Product analytics
PitchStill uses Mixpanel to understand app usage and improve the product. This may include events such as screen views, onboarding completion, session starts and completions, sequence-mode selection, paywall views, paywall button taps, and purchase completion. If you are signed in, these analytics events may be associated with your app account ID. PitchStill uses this data for product analytics and conversion measurement, not for third-party advertising.
How We Use Data
- To detect pitch during active note-training sessions
- To authenticate optional user accounts
- To sync session history and statistics across devices
- To determine whether premium features should be unlocked
- To measure onboarding, training, and upgrade flows so the app can be improved
PitchStill does not sell personal data, use advertising profiles, or share personal information beyond the service providers required to run the app.
Third-Party Services
- Supabase for authentication and cloud data storage
- Google Sign-In for optional OAuth login
- RevenueCat for purchase entitlement management
- Mixpanel for product analytics
- Apple and Google for app distribution and payments
Retention and Deletion
If you use PitchStill without an account, your data remains on your device. If you use a signed-in account, cloud data remains available until you delete the account or contact support for removal assistance.
Children's Privacy
PitchStill is not directed to children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
